Islamic art has always fascinated me with its arabesques, zellige tiles, and geometric patterns, which are a true source of inspiration for my artistic work.

My first trip with it took me to Andalusia, in Granada, at the heart of an artistic heritage where geometry and symbols interact with architecture.
Later, I discovered that Egypt, with its three-thousand-year history, is also an incredible source of inspiration, where ancient symbols blend with Islamic artistic motifs.

I love the way the geometric patterns are layered over the fluidity of the arabesques and floral motifs.
The symmetry of their construction particularly resonates with me.
The blue and ochre of the cement tiles, the gold and red that illuminate the designs, and captivate me with every glance.

C'est en parcourant les mosquées, médersas et mausolées d'Ouzbékistan que j'ai véritablement découvert la richesse des motifs floraux de l'art islamique, aussi appelés motifs biomorphiques.
Aujourd'hui, j'aime associer ces formes végétales à la géométrie islamique, apportant douceur et mouvement aux compositions géométriques.

L'art islamique est présent bien au-delà des régions auxquelles on l'associe spontanément. On trouve de magnifiques mosquées en Afrique, en Europe, en Chine ou encore au Japon. Cette diversité nourrit ma recherche artistique : créer des ponts entre les cultures en faisant dialoguer les patrimoines.
