I started with Zentangle, this American art based on small repeated patterns.
Playing with black and white quickly allowed me to give volume and depth, as if my drawings were coming to life in 3D.
I also like to work with trompe-l'oeil effects, close to photo-realism, with a preference for lace effects!
Working with dry pastels particularly appeals to me: their bright and rich colors, which are modeled by hand, invite you to immerse yourself in the material and feel each gesture.
More than just a story, the travel journal invites us to observe differently, to take the time to feel and to tell. Each page becomes a living trace of the experience, a tangible memory that can be leafed through and shared.
